ALLWEST TRANSPORTATION/HIGHWAY PROJECTS

DISTRICT 1 GARVEE PROJECT– ITD District 1, US 95, Worley N., Project No. A010(914), Key No. 10914
The project consists of major road construction for the new four lane highway continuing south from approximately SH58 to Worley, Idaho. ALLWEST provided source evaluation testing for the Johnson Pit located on the north side of Jerry Johnson Road. We have provided crusher control and will continue to provide crusher quality control for 377,541 tons of open graded rock cap and 18,447 tons of 19mm Type A aggregate base for the 2008 season. Our services for this project include density testing, aggregate testing and hot mix asphalt testing.

 
ITD District 2, US 95, Genesee to Thorn Creek Road, Project No. NH-4110 (140), Key No. 8350
The project consisted of major road reconstruction for a new four lane highway (approximately 8 miles). ALLWEST provided source evaluation testing for the Cow Creek Quarry located on 125 Road, and crusher quality control for the production of 535,456 tons of open graded rock cap. Project scheduling for open graded rock cap required the staffing of double shifts to handle the additional workload for this project. ALLWEST also provided quality control testing during production of 96,500 tons of class 1 (3/4”) asphalt pavement. Our services for this project included density testing, aggregate testing and hot mix asphalt testing.

 
ITD District 2, US 95, Top of Lewiston Hill to Genesee, Project No. NH-4110 (133), Key No. 7769
The project consisted of major road reconstruction for a new four lane highway (approximately 8 miles). ALLWEST provided crusher quality control for the production of 646,100 tons of open graded rock cap. Project scheduling for open graded rock cap required the staffing of double shifts to handle the additional workload for this project. ALLWEST also provided quality control testing during production of 107,580 tons of class 1 (3/4”) asphalt pavement. Our services for this project included density testing, aggregate testing and hot mix asphalt testing.

Services provided for this project were concrete mix design verification testing, concrete testing, aggregate testing and hot mix asphalt testing.

 
ITD District 2, US 95, Milepost 249, NB Passing Lane, Project No. ST-4110 (679), Key No. 8536 (June 2005 to October 2005)
Services provided for this project were quarry source evaluation testing, aggregate testing, density testing and hot mix asphalt testing.

 
ITD District 2, US 12, Milepost 31 Passing Lane, Project No. NH-SB-4200 (138), Key No. 8157 (January 2005 to May 2005)
Services provided for this project were quarry source evaluation testing, aggregate testing, density testing, shotcrete testing and grout testing for soil nail installation.

 
Government Way Reconstruction Project #STP-7155(102) Key No. 8465, ITD District 1 Honeysuckle to Miles
The project consisted of replacement and addition of new sewer and water piping and services. Construction of 1.3 miles of three lane roadway including subgrade, base course and hot mix superpave asphalt. Construction of cast-in-place concrete curbs, sidewalks, urban approaches and pedestrian ramps. ALLWEST provided Quality Control (QC) and Quality Acceptance (QA) materials testing including compaction testing of trench backfill, road surfaces and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). We also provided QC/QA for sieve analysis of granular subbase, aggregate base and HMA. We also provided sampling of cold feed materials at the batch plant. Oil content, rice’s theoretical and core correlations were performed on production paving. Testing was provided for ready mix concrete according to ASTM Standards for slump, air entrainment, temperature and compressive strength for verification to job specifications.
