ALLWEST TESTING PROJECTS

Coulee Medical Center
Coulee City, Washington
The Coulee Medical Center is a new 69,000 square-foot, $25 million dollar
project that broke ground in August of 2009. Specific special inspections on this
project have included soil and asphalt density testing, structural steel and
high-strength bolting, fireproofing, reinforced concrete and masonry and epoxy bolts.
This facility will house 25-beds and an outpatient clinic and is expected to be a
showpiece of rural health care.

Veterans Administration Physical Therapy and
Prosthetics Building Addition and Parking Lot Addition
Spokane, Washington
This project consisted of a 4,800 square-foot, single story building addition to the
existing facility as well as an addition to the parking lot area. ALLWEST provided
inspection of soil and asphalt density testing, reinforced concrete with structural
steel and light gauge steel framing.

Northern Quest Casino Expansion
Airway Heights, Washington
The project included construction of an elevated casino, a 10-story hotel tower, a
6-level parking ramp, and a convenience store. ALLWEST provided geotechnical engineering
which included soil borings, rock coring and field pressuremeter testing. Due to
variability in overburden depth and quality of bedrock, we recommended a combination of
drilled piers and spread footings for support of the structures.
ALLWEST also provided special inspections and materials
testing for construction of the 6-level parking ramp and south casino addition which
included drilled pier inspection, post-tension concrete testing, and inspection of
reinforcement. We also provided special inspections for the 10-story hotel. Our
services included soil density testing, reinforced concrete inspections, post-tensioned
concrete inspection, shotcrete inspection, spray-applied fire proofing inspection,
and non-destructive testing (ultrasonic testing of welds).

Whitworth University Biology and Chemistry Buildings
Spokane, Washington
The Whitworth University Biology and Chemistry Building consists of a four-story post-tensioned
concrete slab building with steel roof decking. ALLWEST provided materials
testing and special inspection services for this $35 million dollar project. Specific special
inspections and materials testing included soil and asphalt density testing, reinforcing steel
inspection, post-tension tendons inspection, reinforced concrete testing, post-tensioned
concrete testing, structural masonry inspections, spray-applied fire proofing inspection,
and structural steel welding and bolting inspections. Ultrasonic testing of welds (NDT)
was also conducted on the roof members.

Washington State University Biotechnology/Life Science
Building Phase 1 and Amendment to Phase 1
Pullman, Washington
The Biotechnology/Life Sciences Building consists of a new facility of approximately 128,000
gross square feet. The building is a four-story structure with a partially shelled basement.
The high-tech facility contains research laboratories, core laboratories, common support space,
conference rooms, and office space for faculty and post-doctoral students. The new facility
will also house the administrative offices for the newly created Center for Biotechnology in
support of the University's Biotechnology Strategic Initiative, and the administrative offices
for the School of Molecular Biosciences. ALLWEST's involvement
on this project included steel
pile driving inspections, reinforced concrete inspections and testing, waterproofing inspections,
soils compaction testing and asphalt pavement compaction and quality testing.

Spokane Community College, Building 7 Renovations
Spokane, Washington
The Building 7 Renovation project consisted of the renovation of an existing 31,679 square foot
space that will house the faculty and staff, a new student health clinic, the campus IT and
media departments, as well as general classroom space. The total project cost was $10,757,000.
ALLWEST provided inspections of soil density testing, reinforcing steel,
monitoring placement of concrete testing for strength, slump, air, entrainment yield, and unit weight.
ALLWEST inspected structural steel welding and bolting for the project by
and AWS certified welding inspector. Full penetration welds were inspected by ultrasonic testing by a level
II non-destructive inspector.

Spokane Falls Community College, Music and Performing Arts Building
Spokane, Washington
The finished renovations of the Music and Performing Arts Building will result in a 47,751 square
foot building, for a total project cost of $14,948,000. The building will house classrooms and new
office space as well as a state-of-the-art recording studio on the lower lever, with a new two-story
office addition on the west wing. ALLWEST provided soils density testing
for the building addition from the foundation of the basement to the finished grade, including
the sidewalks and building pad. We were instrumental in the shotcrete process plans, observing
all placement and sampling, ensuring that the all steel reinforcement steel conformed to the
plans and specifications. We observed and tested the concrete placement to ensure that all
codes had been met and clearance was correct. Additionally, ALLWEST
inspected the structural steel and bolting for conformance with code and AWS D1.1.

Lewis-Clark State College Nursing Building

The LCSC Nursing & Health Sciences Building is a state funded $16 million, 53,000 s.f. multi-story structure,
consisting of reinforced concrete, structural steel framing and masonry surfacing.
During construction, ALLWEST provided the following sampling and testing: native soil, special inspections,
and concrete testing.

Idaho
|
Kootenai Medical Center
Kootenai County, Idaho
ALLWEST has proudly partnered with Kootenai Medical Center on various
projects throughout their campus. The Idaho Cancer Center expansion was completed in September 2006.
This project more than doubled the pharmacy-related space and added a live virus laboratory, a
chemotherapy clean room and preparation room, and an environmentally controlled room. Our services
for this $800,000 project included soils and asphalt compaction, reinforced concrete and structural steel.
In 2009 ALLWEST completed work with construction team on the new $12.3 million
Business Services building. This three-story, 48,000 square foot structure is being used for various
business-related operations. ALLWEST provided soils density testing, reinforced
concrete and masonry inspections and welding inspections for this project.
Additionally in 2009, we participated in the building of the new Post Falls Cancer Center. This two-story,
21,000 square foot cancer center was built on the 10-acre Kootenai Health Park at a cost of $8.2 million.
This facility is staffed by medical oncologists and radiation therapists, and includes complete support
services for patients. The services ALLWEST provided for this project included
soils compaction testing, reinforced concrete and structural steel and welding inspections.

ALLWEST partnered with Bonner General on this project in 2005.

Northwest Specialty Hospital
Post Falls, Idaho
The Northwest Specialty Hospital is an $18 million dollar new hospital facility built in Post Falls, Idaho.
This one-story, 8,500 square foot building has a below ground garage. ALLWEST
provided monitoring of mass excavation, soils compaction testing below footings, slab on grade, and
foundation wall backfill. We also provided asphalt density testing, structural steel and welding
inspections, reinforced concrete inspections, roof decking, fireproofing, epoxy bolts, and
non-destructive testing inspections.
